Southan wrote about how Art is an attempt at helping others. He said that there are many artists and we could do without a vast majority of them because the world doesn’t need more art. According to Southan the best way to really make a difference is to go do something about it instead of just sitting around waiting on the world to change painting a picture. The Ted talk I chose is about two painters that go to impoverished beat down neighborhoods and change the atmosphere by painting huge murals on the walls of houses. They said that these murals help people by association. When something looks nice it isn’t usually looked into past the first glance so basically the painters were covering up all the negativity with their art.
