One presentation that I was very captivated by was Max’s work on how music and visual art are so well intertwined. I enjoyed the visual of watching the different notes that were all different colors. The you tube video was a spectacular demonstration. It was almost meditative to watch. This was an interesting way of displaying his work because it was very unique from all of the other presentations. For his primary mode of communication I would say that he used his voice to explain the work he put into his project. However his presentation also had a lot of visual characteristics. This presentation gave me a new perspective on art because I had never seen one of those videos before. It was interesting to think about music in a way that wasn’t auditory. I liked his thought on being able to interact with music even if you may be deaf. It is interesting to me how the emotions of sound can still be portrayed via the shape and color visually.

Another Presentation that I liked was Taylor’s work on tattoo art. It was another creative way to look at the assignment. I also liked how she really made her interviews the dominant part of her project. For most of us the interview seemed a little bit forced because it was hard to find someone who was extremely passionate about a statue that is on a different continent. Taylor’s work was much more based off of people she knew well. It is also a cool idea that most people can connect to. Most people know someone who has a tattoo or has one themselves.
